NuBench AI Desktop

The full NuBench AI platform as a native app for macOS, Windows, and Linux. Drag-drop files, system notifications, auto-updates, and deep links — no browser required.

What the desktop app adds

Full platform in a native window

Everything available at chat.nubench.ai — conversations, agents, knowledge base, settings — runs natively without a browser tab. macOS Dock, Windows taskbar, and Linux system tray integrations included.

Drag-and-drop file attachment

Drop any file directly onto the app window to attach it to your conversation. Supports documents, images, spreadsheets, and code files up to the classification-allowed size limit.

System notifications

Get notified when a long-running agent task completes or a shared conversation receives a reply — even when the app is in the background.

Auto-updates

The app checks for updates on launch and installs them in the background. You always run the latest version without manual downloads.

nubench:// deep links

Open a specific conversation, skill, or knowledge base document directly from a link in email, Slack, or any other app using the nubench:// URL scheme.

Offline indicator

When network connectivity is lost, the app shows a clear offline banner rather than silently failing — so you know your message didn't send.

Security and privacy

  • The desktop app is a thin wrapper — all data stays in NuBench AI servers. No conversation content is stored locally beyond the active session.
  • All network traffic is encrypted with TLS 1.3. The app connects only to api.nubench.ai and auth.nubench.ai.
  • Auto-update signatures are verified before installation. Updates are served from NuBench-controlled S3 with AWS KMS-signed manifests.
  • macOS code signing and notarization is planned for Phase 2. Windows EV code signing is planned alongside it.
